My name's Natsumi. I'm a psychologist and meditation teacher in Edmonton, Alberta.
I created MindBright to demystify mental health and make the tools and strategies that I know support mental health and wellness more user-friendly and accessible, online and in my community.
I've seen many of my therapy clients grow, heal, transform, and thrive using the tools of mindfulness, meditation, yoga, self compassion, cognitive behavioural therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and dialectical behaviour therapy that we work on in therapy.
These tools are not mysterious and are highly practical and accessible. They are a set of concrete and actionable, strategies that help us understand our often chaotic minds and better navigate the often messy path of life in order to live a healthier, fuller, and more satisfying life.
I use many of these tools and strategies myself and this is a work in constant progress and I'm always learning. The path is the goal!
My hope is to support, inspire, and empower you to care for yourself, your mental health, and others using the strategies and tools from therapy that have been shown to support psychological flexibility and resilience. Stay tuned.
